I still don't know if it's the tiny fingers wrapped around yours, the little scrunches and big yawns or that distinct smell that I love the most about newborns. I do know that bringing a new life into the world is an incredibly surreal and humbling experience full of little moments you will want to hold onto forever.
When you choose me to be your newborn photographer, we will spend the perfect couple of hours one morning encapsulating everything about your newborn bubble. The snuggles, the feeds, the yawns and the 'did we really make this?' glances just to start. I'll help you navigate through the session while you focus on what truly matters - your perfect little baby.
From beginning to end, your session will be natural, relaxed and heartful. When I leave your home we will have created a beautiful record of the simple joys found in these precious newborn moments.

I recommend you book your session for 1-2 weeks after your expected due date. We can always reschedule this date after baby is born. But the truth is your baby is perfect to capture at every age whether that's the first 48hrs, the first few weeks or even your older newborn.
The day of your session, you should block off 2.5 hours. Typically a session lasts about 2 hours, but if there’s a wardrobe malfunction or an unsettled baby, we’ll be ok. I am totally flexible and will stay until I know I’ve got a ridiculously good selection of images for you so it's best to make sure you're not in a hurry either.
I have a detailed Session Guide which talks through and gives ideas on how to style the whole family for your session. and I am always here to chat through your options if that works better for you. I also provide a Client Wardrobe for ladies which you are welcome to choose from for your session and I will bring a selection of outfits for your newborn.
In all of my newborn sessions I include Mum, Dad and siblings. I believe it's so important to capture your family as a whole after welcoming a new addition. And this includes your animal babies! I love animals and your pets are welcome to join, however, I don't guarantee specific shots. You can invite grandparents and other members of your extended family to your session for a small cost. We'll chat about how this will work when we plan your session.
Welcoming a new little member of the family is a big adjustment for your older children too and they aren't always interested in getting photos, but please don't worry! I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve and experience working with young children as a teacher and photographer. to engage your older children and make the session fun. My biggest recommendation for you is to play with your kids and interact with them in the ways you normally do and the smiles will come naturally.
No problem! Every home is perfect to me. I can move clutter and I may even move furniture. We will work together to make the best of the space you have. So long as you have a window or a door we can make beautiful photos.

You can expect your full gallery of images no more than 30 days after your session.
After receiving your images you'll have the opportunity to purchase prints and other products with a professional print lab through my online store.

I will arrive at your home with everything I need. Before we get started I'll ask you to give me a tour of your home so I can see the spaces with the best natural light.
Throughout your session you will be able to take the time throughout the session to feed, change and settle baby as needed.

I will send you my Session Guide with information on what to expect and how to prepare. You'll also get a style guide and full access to my Client Wardrobe.
After baby is born I will send you an in-depth questionnaire to get to know you, your family, what's important to you and your vision for our time together.
