My favourite photographs from my childhood make my memories come alive; like fishing off the back verandah with my dad in nothing but gumboots and undies during a flood or stuffing my little brother into the largest pot I could find in the kitchen of our rental. These moments might seem ordinary, but they are so incredibly special in the way they evoke emotion in me.
As your family photographer I want to capture the smiles, the giggles and the big bear hugs that all unfold naturally when you are connecting with your family. Whether it's reading a book on the couch or jumping on the bed, I want to document these seemingly ordinary moments in your family life because they are the ones you'll never want to forget.
From beginning to end, your session will be natural, relaxed and heartful. Expect me to give direction and guidance to a point, but mostly I am just creating a space and opportunity for connections to happen naturally. When I leave your home we will have created a beautiful record of the simple joys found in your motherhood and their childhood.

Kids tend to feed off adults, so if you're relaxed, they will be. We will just go with the flow, let them lead, and moments will present themselves. I recommend you bring snacks, a water bottle and even some favourite toys if your child needs a break. My biggest recommendation is for you to play with your kids and interact with them in the ways you normally do and the smiles will come naturally.
A session typically lasts about 60 minutes for golden hour and 90 minutes in-home, but if there’s a wardrobe malfunction or a meltdown, we’ll be ok. I am totally flexible and will stay until I know I’ve got a ridiculously good selection of images for you. It's best to make sure you're not in a hurry either so make sure you add some buffer time before and after your session.
I have a detailed Session Guide which talks through and gives ideas on how to style the whole family for your session. I provide a Client Wardrobe for ladies which you are welcome to choose from for your session and I am always here to chat through your options if that works better for you.
Your animal babies are family too and 100% welcome to join if we're using a pet friendly location! I don't, however, guarantee any specific shots (you know what they say about working with animals). You can invite grandparents and other members of your extended family to your session for a small cost. We'll chat about how this will work when we plan your session.
I get it, it's important to maintain routines like bedtime, especially for young children. However, your outdoor session is scheduled for the hour before sunset because this is when the light is softest and most flattering. It might mean that bedtime is a little later than usual (especially in the summer), but it will be totally worth it, I promise!
No problem! Every home is perfect to me. I can move clutter and I may even move furniture. We will work together to make the best of the space you have. So long as you have a window or a door we can make beautiful photos.

You can expect your full gallery of images no more than 30 days after your session.
After receiving your images you'll have the opportunity to purchase prints and other products with a professional print lab through my online store.

We'll ease into your session to give your kids a chance to get to know me and I them.
Then we'll go with the flow and follow your kids' lead. Connection is at the heart of your session, so jump in and play with your kids for the most authentic smiles and laughter.

I will send you my Prep Guide with information on what to expect and how to prepare. You'll also get a style guide and full access to my Client Wardrobe.
I will send you an in-depth questionnaire to get to know you, your family, what's important to you and your vision for our time together.
